Ecuador is a country that has a size of 257.000 km and its neighbour countrys are Colombia and Peru. It is a country with a lot of contrasts and four differents geographical regions: the cost, the mountains, the dschungle and the incredible Galapagos-islands. The geographic diversity, that offer the country, is divided into four regions, as well as four climate zones. The temperature depend on the high and the place. Because oft hat, the country offers a big variety of animals and plants. Worldwide Ecuador ranks the third place of the biggest variety of amphibians and the fifth place of the biggest variety of butterflies. Furthermore 10% oft he plant species you can find worldwide are in Ecuador as well.
Besides the big variety of natur, Ecuador has many differents cultures. There are still living 13 indigenous communities, that have their own ideologies. Some of the communities are called the Quichua, Huarani, Achuar, Shuar, Cofan, Siona-Secoza, Shiwiar and the Zapero.
In the andes you can find the volk of the Quichua de la Sierra, that is famuos of their colored cities, for example Canaris and Saraguros. At the cost there are living the AWA, Chachi, Cayapas, Tsaclilas and Huancavilkas communities. Mainly the mestizos, white and afroamericans are living in the cities. Because of the topography, Baños is a ideal place for extreme sports activities like Swing Jumping, Rafting, Canyoning, climbing, Kayak and many more...
